Shimrin2® Solid Bases (S2-25 and S2-26)
Shimrin2® is the 2nd generation of the proven Shimrin® Basecoat technology introduced in 1982. Shimrin2® is the next generation of ground-breaking universal basecoats from House of Kolor. Through new innovative polymer chemistry we are able to meet and exceed waterborne with a solvent based system designed for Kustom Painting. S2-25 Jet Black and S2-26 Bright White are Shimrin2® universal basecoats that may cleared for a final finish, or used as a foundation for Shimrin2® standard basecoats including Kandy Basecoats, and your own Kustom Kreations. The Jetest black and the brightest white are a must-have on every painters bench.
Shimrin2® remains a solvent base system yet meets all VOC rules coast to coast including California.

S2-00 Trans Nebulae is the beginning of all Shimrin2® effects, making It the heart of the Shimrin2® product system. This diverse component of the S2 FX Karrier Base Series is used to create straight effects without pigment, KBC Kandy basecoats, tri-stage coats and much more. Color styling is a breeze with S2 FX Karrier Bases S2-01 through S2-16. From classic favorites like Galaxy Gray, Solar Gold, and Planet Green, to new trend setting colors like Eclipse Orange, Solarflair Red, Lunar Yellow, and Mayan Magenta. These new FX Karrier bases combined with 40 different S2-FX Effect pacs will have your eyes popping with extreme clarity, Kandy-like micro grind of pigments, and full spectrum of color attributed to advanced manufacturing techniques, innovative chemistry and robust polymer engineering.

S2-SG100 Intercoat
S2-SG100 Intercoat is an important tool for the custom painter. It is designed to be applied over a given base color, prior to taped art work or air brush art. This allows for easy removal of mis-tapes or air brush errors without damage to base color. We recommend KC20 as the only clean up solvent. The intercoat is also applied over art work to preserve blending and fogging of various colors before applying kandy or klear topcoats. S2-SG100 is a safety layer, allowing you to pause and continue your project later. S2-SG100 is not a build up klear or a top coat klear. Limit applied coats to 4, however, if used as a carrier for base coat kandys. Used as a carrier for pearls or flakes when reduction from standard 2:1 goes to 1:1, more coats are acceptable. S2-SG100 is also used to reduce strength of base coats for blending colors or for checking touch ups before top coat klears are applied. Considered a must over Marblizer® before kandy or klear to guarantee adhesion. S2-SG100 Intercoat, as you can see, is an important workhorse for the painter!

SHIMRIN® METALLIC BASES (BC and FBC)
Available in coarse or ultra-fine metallic, each offers full
coverage in 3-4 coats. Clear for a final finish, or use as
a base for Kandys. With their unique chemical make-up, they
may be top coated with either acrylic lacquer or urethane
enamel.

SHIMRIN® KANDY BASE COATS (KBC)
Kandy Base Coats are a mixture of Kandy and select Pearls
into a SHIMRIN® Universal Base Coat that mimics a Kandy
finish. They feature low build, fewer coats, are easy to apply,
and touchups are easier than ever. Available in the same great
colors as our regular kandys. Due to their unique chemical
make-up they may be top coated with either an acrylic lacquer
or urethane enamel.

MARBLIZER® ARTISTIC BASE COATS (MB)
Marblizer Artistic Bases offer you an exciting paint finish.
With Marblizer you can achieve the appearance of a deep
marble, snake skin, plus many other effects. Marblizer is
a Universal Base that can be simply cleared over or be used
as a base coat for Kandy. They can be cleared with acrylic
lacquers or urethane enamels.
IMPORTANT: SG100 is required if applying urethane clears
or urethane kandys over Marblizer.

SHIMRIN® METAJULS™ BASE COATS (MBC)
Shimrin Metajuls Basecoats are unique metallics that offer extreme sparkle and brilliance. They are easy to use and are much easier to spray than flakes. They lay smoother and surpass the look of a traditional flake job with LESS EFFORT! As a basecoat for Kandys or as a final finish they are spectacular, especially in the sun!
Available in quarts.

NEON (NE)
Neons are designed for high visual impact on race cars, boats,
motorcycles, etc. They can be cleared for a final finish or
used as a base coat for Pearls, or Kandys.
IMPORTANT: Neons have limited light fastness in the sun. Use
where high visual impact is important and light fastness is not.

SHIMRIN® DESIGNER PEARLS (PBC)
Designer Pearls are Universal Base Coats that come in a large
array of colors and may simply be cleared over for a final
finish or used as a base coat for Kandys, or Pearls. They
can be top coated with either acrylic lacquer or urethane enamels.

|
SHIMRIN® GRAPHIC KOLORS SOLID BASES (SG)
The SHIMRIN® Graphic Kolors (SG) along with BC25 Black,
BC26 White are universal base coats that may simply be cleared
for a final finish, or used as a base coat for Kandys or Pearls.
Due to their unique chemistry they may be top coated with
either an acrylic lacquer or urethane enamel.

KAMELEON® KOLORS (KF)
Kameleon Kolor is a revolutionary base coat that changes color
as the angle from which the vehicle is viewed changes. Rounded
surfaces, and sharp angles alike will highlight the uniqueness
of Kameleon Kolor. Kameleon Kolor base coats are easy to apply
and must be top coated with either urethane enamel or acrylic
lacquer.
